What Is an Email Validation Score?

An email validation score is a 0–100 rating that reflects how likely an email address is to be valid and deliverable. Our free email quality checker combines four checks — syntax validation, MX record lookup, domain age analysis, and SMTP server responsiveness — to produce a single score you can act on.

Marketers use email scores to prioritise which addresses to send to first, developers use them to validate user input at sign-up, and small business owners use them to clean lists before campaigns. A high score means the address is well-formed, the domain accepts email, and the mail server is responsive. A low score is a strong signal to remove the address before sending.

The batch mode lets you check up to 50 addresses at once and export the results as CSV, making it easy to integrate into your list-cleaning workflow. Use this tool alongside our Disposable Email Checker and MX Record Lookup for a complete picture of your list quality.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an email validation score?

A 0–100 rating combining syntax, MX records, domain age, and SMTP checks to indicate how deliverable an email address is.

What score means an email is safe to send to?

80 or above is generally safe. 60–79 is questionable. Below 60 suggests the address is likely invalid or undeliverable.

Can I check multiple emails at once?

Yes. Switch to Batch Check mode and paste up to 50 addresses. Results can be exported as CSV.
